Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Online Makeup Academy ("OMA," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.onlinemakeupacademy.com, enroll in our programs, purchase our products, or communicate with us.

Online Makeup Academy 541 W 29th St, New York, NY 10001, United States Email: info@onlinemakeupacademy.com Phone: +1 (347) 842-0001

Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you enroll in a program, purchase a kit or product, schedule a call, subscribe to our newsletter, submit coursework, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order details, course submissions (including photos of your work), reviews and testimonials you choose to share, and anything else you include in your messages to us.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processors and financing partners (including the processors behind our Squarespace and Teachable checkouts, and financing providers such as Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna). We do not store your full card number on our systems. Financing providers have their own privacy policies and may collect information directly from you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to collect device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and general location. This includes analytics tools (Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager) and advertising tools (the Meta Pixel). Some pages embed YouTube videos, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you play them.

Information from our course platform. Our online courses are delivered through Teachable. When you create a student account or complete coursework, Teachable processes that information under its own privacy policy as well.

How We Use Information‍ ‍

We use the information we collect to enroll you and deliver courses, feedback, and certificates; to ship makeup, hair, and SFX kits and process orders, refunds, and payment plans; to respond to questions and provide student support; to send order updates and, if you opt in, marketing emails (every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link); to feature student work and testimonials, with permission; to understand how the site is used and improve it; to advertise our programs, including measuring ad performance; and to comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising‍ ‍

We use cookies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. Google Analytics helps us understand site traffic. The Meta Pixel helps us measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram; this means Meta may receive information about your visit to our site.

Your choices: you can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies (parts of the site may not work properly); use the cookie banner controls where shown; opt out of Meta ad targeting in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings; install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; and use the AdChoices tools at optout.aboutads.info. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:

Service providers that run our business: Squarespace (website and store hosting), Teachable (course platform), payment processors and financing providers, shipping carriers that deliver kits, email and scheduling tools, and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

Advertising partners. Our use of advertising cookies and pixels (such as the Meta Pixel) may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state privacy laws. You can opt out as described below.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of OMA, our students, or others.

Business transfers. If OMA is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We may share aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, graduation rates) that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, receive a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or opt out of targeted advertising. As of 2026, twenty US states have comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas.

To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of targeted advertising, email us at info@onlinemakeupacademy.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your request using the email address associated with your account and respond within the time required by your state's law. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents: you may request the categories of personal information we collect (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, and inferences), the purposes described above, and the categories of third parties we share it with. Because we use advertising pixels, you may opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising by emailing us as described above or by using a browser with GPC enabled.

Students Outside the United States

We welcome students worldwide. Your information is processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (delivering courses and kits), with your consent (marketing), or for our legitimate interests (running and improving our school). You may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Contact us at info@onlinemakeupacademy.com to exercise these rights.

Students Under 18

Our programs are designed for a general audience. Students under 18 may enroll only with parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, and we do not use minors' personal information for targeted advertising. If you believe a child has provided us information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

We keep student records (enrollment, coursework, certificates) for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide lifetime course access and postgraduate support. We keep order and tax records as required by law. We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion at any time as described above; note that deleting student records may end your course access.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

Our site links to third-party websites and services (for example, pro card partner stores and social media). Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies before providing information.

Changes to This Policy‍ ‍

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on this page or by email where appropriate.
